MINUTOLO is a variety of aromatic grape, cultivated since 1200 in southern Italy.Over the centuries, the cultivation of this vine was gradually abandoned and forgotten due to its reduced productivity.
Its rebirth is due to some oenologists from the Valle d'Itria, who a few years ago began the recovery of this variety now on the verge of extinction: since then a series of activities and research have followed which have enhanced the Minutolo, until that forgotten moment.
Typical golden white color with amber reflections with a classic brilliance, while the floral scents include laurel, sage and rosemary. The cultivation area is the Valle d'Itria, characterized by calcareous and clayey soils, which give the vine - and subsequently the grape berries - a unique and particular aromatic load. It is increasingly vinified alone for the production of dry and aromatic wines or quality sparkling wines.
