Although they have not identified a certain date, scholars agree in affirming that Catarratto is a vine of very ancient origins, the oldest of Sicily's white berried ones.
Probably the seventh century BC, also thanks to the colonization of the island by the Phoenicians, is the period in which it asserts itself and begins to spread throughout the region. The wine has a straw yellow colour.
The bouquet is characterized by aromas of orange blossom, jasmine, aromatic herbs, citrus fruits and white fruit. On the palate it is striking for its lively acidity, well balanced by fruity notes and a clear mineral vein. The finish is slightly almond. Gradation 13%
