Umbria ~ Grechetto

The Grechetto vine is probably native to Greece, like all the vines that contain "Greek" in the root of their name. In fact, in the past, the term Greco or Grechetto was associated with white grape varieties that also showed very different characteristics from each other but were united by the fact that they were probably imported into southern Italy through Magna Graecia.

Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections and tends to golden when subjected to aging in wood, where it will release the vanilla and toasted notes. On the nose it generally has aromas of hazelnut and almond and fruity hints of exotic fruits, peach and pear. The floral notes evoke the scents of elderberry, acacia and hawthorn.
