Abruzzo ~ Montepulciano

Montepulciano is a native vine of central Italy and in particular of the Marche and Abruzzo; as evidence of this there are several documents dating back to the 1700s.

Montepulciano best represents the "red" tradition of central Italy. Montepulciano grapes are capable of expressions of world-class power, elegance and breadth of olfactory nuances.

Products

Once reserved exclusively for blending, Montepulciano-based wines are characterized by thick, soft and not very aggressive tannins, by hints of cherry and morello cherry, by a full finish supported by a remarkable extractive and alcoholic strength. Alcohol content: about 13.5% vol.
