FALERNO is a wine of very ancient and noble origins, which can boast 2000 years of history. It is produced in the province of Caserta on the slopes of Monte Massico, in an area considered highly suited for the cultivation of vines since the time of the ancient Romans.
It is, in fact, the descendant of the famous Roman wine Falernum, which was considered among the best reds ever by the emperors and patricians of Rome. The rediscovery of the production area of the Monte Massico area began during the 19th century, but only in the last 40 years have some local producers decided to recover the great tradition by proposing a wine that could bring to mind the famous nectar of the times of the Ancient Romans
