From the other wines of Campania region and included in our range we can indicate: LACRYMA CHRISTI It is the wine produced with the autochthonous grapes of Vesuvius, already known in the times of the ancient Romans. In fact, the first evidence of grape cultivation on Vesuvius dates back to the 5th century BC. The vines that climb the slopes of Vesuvius and their roots sink into the dark and porous lava soil. This soil does not need to be watered as it retains moisture and then releases it. Its colour is more or less a deep straw yellow with golden reflections and the vines is CAPRETTONE 100%
CODA DI VOLPE The vines were grown on the slopes of Vesuvius The name of the vine derives from the curved shape of the apical fold of the bunch, similar to the fox's tail. It is an ancient white grape variety characteristic of Campania, of which there are precise historical references since era of ancient Rome. It has a straw yellow color with golden reflections, a pleasant aroma, with characteristic fruity notes of pear, quince, pineapple, banana, yellow peaches and floral and mineral scents. Its taste is typically savoury, fresh in acidity and dry, with a good structure, with very persistent fruity and floral flavours. Coda di Volpe is vinified in both dry and still versions as well as sparkling, even sweet. By leaving the grapes to ripen until the end of the natural period, a sweet and still wine is obtained, with a minimum of 14.5% vol.
PALLAGRELLO Originally from the "Monticello" locality in the municipality of Piedimonte Matese (origin attested by an epigraph still affixed in this locality, created at the behest of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon who categorically prevented unauthorized persons from crossing the 27 bushels of the pallagrello vineyard) . The vine originates from the Caserta area and also has a white grape variety. The wine obtained from the black Pallagrello vine is ruby red in colour. On the palate it is fruity, spicy. FROM THE VARIETIES Pallagrello Bianco a straw yellow wine is obtained with aromas of apple, pineapple, melon, the taste is balanced and with good aromatic persistence. Alcohol content Pallagrello Nero 13% vol Pallagrello Bianco 12.5% vol. PIEDIROSSO Piedirosso is a native Campania vine of unknown origin but present in the region since time immemorial. . The red tint of the grain reminds us precisely of the foot of the doves. Piedirosso is part of many denominations of origin and geographical indications of Campania, both in purity and in blending. It is well suited to aging but can also be drunk young. Generally it provides wines with a good tannic structure, with a nice ruby colour. The olfactory range varies from red fruits such as plums and cherries of young wines to tertiary nuances of aged wines, with notes of coffee, tobacco and spices
