Sicily ~ Etna

ETNA is a DOC wine whose production is allowed in the province of Catania. It exists in white, red and rosé varieties and has been known since ancient times.

Etna Rosso, the best known, is produced from a blend of Nerello hood and a small percentage of Nerello mascalese.It is a wine with a high alcohol content (12.5% minimum). It is a dry wine with a ruby red color and an intense aroma and a winy taste. White Etna is produced from Carricante, white Cataratto, white Minnella and Trebbiano vines. It is a dry wine with a straw yellow color and a delicate aroma.

Products

The rosé Etna is produced from Nerello mascalese min.80%, Nerello hood 0-40%. The organoleptic characteristics of the rosé Etna DOC include an intense cherry pink, claret pink color. The olfactory profile of the rosé Etna DOC wine is intense, characteristic and on the palate it is dry, harmonious.
